From Nothing to Something Big: How 845Subie Teamed Up With Subaru & Johnston’s Subaru to Bring a Legendary Rally Car to Our Community !! New Date April 11th 2026!!

Every great car community starts with a handful of people, a shared passion, and the drive to build something from nothing. That’s exactly how 845Subie began—local Subaru enthusiasts coming together for late-night meets, cruises, wrench days, and a growing sense of family.

This year, something incredible happened.

What started as a grassroots Subaru club has evolved into a full-scale collaboration with Subaru, Vermont Sports Car, and our own local dealership, Johnston’s Subaru. Together, we’re bringing an unforgettable, once-in-a-lifetime automotive event to the Hudson Valley—featuring one of the most insane Subaru performance machines ever created.

Yes… the Vermont Sports Car Gymkhana WRX STI driven by Travis Pastrana.

A Local Subaru Club Partners With Industry Giants

845Subie may have started small, but the passion behind the club speaks volumes. Our meet-ups kept growing. Our presence online expanded. Our commitment to the Subaru community never wavered.

When conversations started with Johnston’s Subaru, the alignment was immediate. They wanted to support the local enthusiast community. We wanted to bring something unforgettable to our members and the 845 region. With Subaru’s brand team and Vermont SportsCar involved, an idea quickly turned into reality.

This isn't just a meet. It’s the biggest Subaru-focused event our club has ever hosted.

The Star of the Show: Pastrana’s Vermont Sports Car Gymkhana WRX STI

This is not your everyday Subaru. This is a legend.

Built by the world-renowned Vermont SportsCar team, the Gymkhana WRX STI is an 800+ horsepower monster purpose-built for Travis Pastrana’s Gymkhana films and hillclimb competitions. With wild aero, explosive acceleration, and engineering straight from Subaru Motorsports USA, it’s one of the most extreme WRX STIs ever built.

Seeing it online is one thing.Seeing it in person? That’s a bucket-list moment.

And thanks to Subaru, VSC, and Johnston’s Subaru, 845Subie is bringing that moment to our local community.

This won’t be your average parking-lot meet. It’s a full-feature, community-driven Subaru celebration:
